Center For Family Services
In-Kind Donations
by June Swords Bower

Center For Family Services: Vision, Hope and Strength for a Better Life. Through more than 40 different programs in southern New Jersey, Center For Family Services provides the tools for people to live happier, healthier lives. They help people get back on their feet:

  • They help families overcome challenges and become stronger and closer
  • They provide children a safe home when they have nowhere else to go
  • They educate and create awareness in our communities and schools.

* Investing in the Individual, Providing Hope to Children, Building Strong Families and Encouraging Healthy Communities - this is Center For Family Services.

Many of us in Gloucester County are continually looking for volunteering opportunities and a way to Pay-it-Forward. The Center for Family Services relies on the generosity of the community for support in providing disavantaged children and families with basic necessities. Here are some ideas to do just that for the CFFS.

Center’s Healthy Families program, TIP Programs & Mother Child Program need

  • new baby items
  • diaper bags
  • bouncy seats
  • swings
  • pack & plays
  • strollers
  • baby carriers
  • diapers and formula

To help provide for teens living in the Center’s Safe and Supportive Housing locations, consider donating personal items for boys and girls such as:

  • toothbrushes and toothpaste
  • soap and shampoo
  • deodorant
  • socks
  • overnight bags
  • new clothing
  • new twin bedding
  • gift cards to Target, local shoe stores, and clothing stores

The Center’s Domestic Violence Safe House clients would benefit from the donation of personal items for:

  • children and families
  • new clothing
  • new bedding
  • gift cards to clothing stores and home goods stores.

The Center’s God Mother’s Blessing Thrift Shop  accepts donations of used items.

Proceeds from the thrift shop benefit CFS programs, and the shop is open to the general public. All baby furniture is sold at minimal cost.
