If you’re like me, you’re always looking for ways to tame the Business Card Beast. When we’re out networking, we can collect SO MANY business cards I have seen clients with shoeboxes FULL of business cards. Allow me to let you in on a little secret…they’re not doing anybody any good just piling up in those boxes! 

CamCard by IntSig Information Co is a great place to start with getting them organized; it’s an app that captures and transcribes business cards to your smart phone or tablet (available for iOS, Android and Blackberry platforms). 

I have tried several business card readers for my smart phone and I find the “scanner” on this app to be the best; it just seems to be more sensitive and accurate. I also like the export to Excel feature you get with the paid version. You can export your CamCard contacts to Excel, send them to yourself and then export them again to your email marketing website, your Outlook contacts or what have you.

You can get a trial version for free. Once you try it and decide you like it (and I think you will!), you can download it for Android phones and tablets for $4.99, for iPhones and iPads for $6.99 or for Blackberry devices for $9.99. So at under ten bucks, this is a good value for pretty handy tech tool!
