A’ Pizze Tuscan Grill

Mimmo Atie recently invited Fearless Foodies to dine in his newly opened A’ Pizze Tuscan Grill in Woolwich Twp. A’ Pizze is the sister restaurant to the successful Tuscan Grill in Mullica Hill.

Mimmo describes A’ Pizze as a Southern Italian casual family-style restaurant. We agree! A’ Pizze offers a warm inviting dining experience with eclectic décor that Mimmo has collected around South Jersey. Mimmo explained he has given new life to salvaged wood from various New Jersey barns dating back to the 1800’s.

Fearless Foodies sat with Mimmo and discussed his dreams for A’ Pizze’s future over a glass of wine. He beamed while he described his vision of cooking classes and events he would like to host in the near future. His ideas are endless and we think we will be seeing a lot of Mimmo in Gloucester County soon. We indulged in Mimmo’s creativity by tasting homemade breads with rosemary-garlic infused oil and many entrees explained further.

A’ Pizze’s menu is designed to accommodate all appetites. Offering specialty pizzas with seafood and Tuscan cheeses as well as Jersey vegetables cooked in a brick over New Jersey grown cherry wood.
They also offer various entrees and baked goods which are all Mimmo’s recipes. Mimmo is proud to use all locally grown produce purchased from farm markets in Gloucester County as giving back to the community is a priority of Mimmo’s.
The stuffed long hots were spicy enough to give some heat but not too spicy that they were not enjoyable. We really enjoyed this appetizer. We also could not get enough of the Caprese Tower. Jersey tomatoes and fresh mozzarella stacked on a bed of fresh greens drizzled with pesto and olive oil with a slight amount of balsamic oil. Mangia! Similar in style was the Beet Salad which is alternating layers of pears and roasted beets on a bed of baby greens and dried cranberries. As for an entrée we tried several specials and enjoyed all of them. One regular menu item we enjoyed as the Tortelloni Sienna, homemade pasta stuffed with cheese and mixed with peas, roasted tomatoes, chicken and pancetta, all baked in a cream sauce with mozzarella and parmesan crust.

Whether it’s the delicious homemade baby cannoli’s, pizza or pasta A’ Pizze is a great addition to Woolwich Township. Everyone in A’ Pizze was friendly and accommodating and the customers seemed like they were enjoying their dinner just as much as we were, with Mimmo checking on each table to ensure satisfaction with food and service. A’ Pizze offers outdoor seating on their newly poured patio and they also have banquet seating for 160 as well. Come in on Sunday and enjoy live Sinatra-style music from 6:30-9:00 p.m.

We decided that A’ Pizze Tuscan Grill will be a regular stop whenever we find ourselves in this area of Gloucester County. You should try it, too! And tell Mimmo Fearless Foodies sent you!
